The area is also filled with some of the best art galleries, book shops and vintage furniture shops of the capital.

The apartment itself is 38 sq. meters (410 sq. ft) with original oak-beamed ceilings, tainted waxed cement flooring in the living room and coconut fibre carpeting in the bedroom. It is decorated with original artwork, photographs, art books & hand-picked objects.

The bedroom to the right of the entrance, with its original 1960's palissander wood-framed double bed is in the back of the apartment and looks through stained-glass windows, over a small quiet courtyard. There is plenty of storage space behind sliding doors.

The bathroom, which is accessed from the living room next to the bedroom is tiled with beautiful dark grey tiling and is equipped with a large trough-sink, suspended toilet and a large shower with chromed fixtures.
